Our History

Peter Harry, founder of Safe Handz Domestix, is a local family man who has lived and worked in the borough of Barking & Dagenham for many years.

Safe Handz Domestix has been providing door-to-door appliance repair and maintenance services for more than 20 years across the east of London, which has also included the sale of reconditioned appliances. Trade had previously depended entirely upon word-of-mouth until the first Safe Handz website was developed in 2005.

In 2024 our new and updated website was launched!

Services on offer include:

• Service and repair of washing machines
  
• Service and repair of dryers
  
• Service and repair of dishwashers
  
• Fitting and plumbing of the above appliances
  
• Supply of other household appliances.

The company already has a very good reputation and track record, and this is demonstrated by continued recommendations from previous and existing customers.

Safe Handz Domestix policy is to provide and maintain safe and healthy working conditions, equipment and systems for its staff and customers.

The company will ensure that the shop unit, and any that it hires, are fully accessible to those with physical disabilities, to the elderly and others such as parents with pushchairs.

Our Guarantee Periods: All new parts – 12 months and reconditioned parts – 6 months. 

Engineers qualifications:

Our team members hold fully certified washing machine service engineer grade one and two. They also hold certified dryer servicing engineer grade one and two.

Inspections & Repairs

We will carefully inspect and assess any reported issues with your appliances before suggesting any remedial work. 

This will be fully explained to you either verbally, in writing, or both. We want to ensure you have all the facts to make a decision, or for you to seek an independent opinion.
